the Cedar Ridge Partner ProgramSince the establishment of our show herd in July 2009, there have been numerous outstanding showpig prospects that have not had the opportunity to reach their full potential due to time restraints because of the amount of work involved with our other two 700-sow seedstock units. There have been numerous hogs that could have performed extremely well in the show ring had they been given the opportunity through better caretaking and preparation before the show.
We are offering an opportunity to showpig enthusiasts who have the facilities and time to prepare any of these prospects for the national show and sale of their choice, with the proceeds being shared on a percentage basis dependent on the selling price. Listed here are our guidelines for this program. We would really like to see more of these outstanding showpig prospects receive a better chance to excel, while making both parties some extra money.- Guidelines for Partner Program
- Partner comes to our show herd farm, and together we select an outstanding show pig prospect (boar or gilt).
- Partner is allowed to show prospect gilt at as many shows as they want; however, we will agree up front as to which show she will be offered for sale.
- Partners have the option to retain prospect gilts for their own herd at a price to be agreed upon on the day of selection.
- All boar prospects must be shown and sold at the state or national show sale to be agreed upon at the time of selection. This must be the first time being shown for these boars.
- At the time of selection, all prospect's pedigrees will be transferred to a joint ownership between the partner and Cedar Ridge; thereby ensuring that both parties receive full recognition and are equally credited for their efforts.

Exception: Jr. Show gilts will be transferred to "Partner" name only but "Partner" must label pen with a sign saying "Product of Cedar Ridge Partner Program" and settlement will be on the honor system.
- Partner pays $250 at time of selection for each of these ELITE showpig prospects. Profit sharing on sale proceeds will be as follows:
First $500 of gross selling price automatically goes 100% to the partner before percentage below applies.
Dollars $501 or greater
30% to Partner and 70% to Cedar Ridge Here are a few examples:

Show entry fees, blood testing and health paper expenses will be paid by the Partner.

Show and sale settlement checks on prospects with gross sales of $500 or more must be mailed to Cedar Ridge who will then calculate settlement for the partner program participant. Cedar Ridge will then contact the Partner with the amount owed to Cedar Ridge.
