To All Our Valued Customers,

We would like to give you a quick update on our PRRS progress at Cedar Ridge. As many of you know, our herd boar stud and our 700 sow Darmstadt Farm never contacted PRSS and remain negative. We have had PRSS-negative production from this farm, and in the last several months, we have exported pigs to Panama, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Korea and Costa Rica. We have also sold several boars and gilts to our domestic customers. All building at our home farm have be depopulated, thoroughly cleaned, disinfected and left empty for several months. Our home farm sow is now full again of PRRS-negative sows, and we've been farrowing for two and a half months. All buildings will be full of PRRS-negative hogs in approximately three months. The PRRS break has given us the opportunity to separate our outstanding show herd (200 sows) from our commercial maternal/terminal domestic/export herd (1400 sows). We have rented a facility located 18 miles to the north of our home farm to establish this new elite show herd. All sows taken to this show herd were blood tested and were PRS Negative with the PCR test before being moved to this farm. We have tested two-month-old pigs at this farm with all PRRS negative results to date with the Elisa test. This herd will be producing numerous outstanding show hogs and Showpigs t be sold at all national shows, ,several online sales and by private treaty daily. You are welcome to come and look anytime.

Sincerely,
The Grohmann Family
